About Dr. Cassidy

Thomas Cassidy, MD, is in private practice in Edison, New Jersey, where he draws on more than two decades of medical experience to attend to the health of his patients. As the head of the office of Thomas J. Cassidy MD LLC, he emphasizes primary care and preventive medicine to help patients enjoy full, active lives. Dr. Cassidy’s training in internal medicine gives him the experience to diagnose and manage an array of conventional and chronic health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, among others.

Dr. Cassidy studied biology at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before earning his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He completed his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. 

Dr. Cassidy returned to New Jersey for a three-year residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson. He has practiced locally since 2000.

Today, Dr. Cassidy uses his considerable expertise to provide high-quality medical care. Outside his practice, he maintains affiliations with Hackensack Meridian Health and John F. Kennedy University Medical Center, both located in Edison.
